Bio

Anna T. Widener Entered into rest in Santa Clara, CA on September 19, 2006 at the age of 88. Anna was the wife of the late Chester I. Widener. They were married September 14, 1940 in San Francisco, CA and were married for 43 years. Anna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Dick Lohmiller and son and daughter-in-law, Barry Widener and Tara Kean. She had four grandchildren, Kristina (Ron) Ernst, Kurt Lohmiller, Cathy Widener (Margot Shaub) and Carrie Widener. Anna was the loving great- grandmother of Ryan, Kayla and Tyler Ernst, Quinn and Hadley Widener. She was the daughter of B. J. and Anna Kopecky and sister of Agnes Orcutt, Hattie Bougger, Marie Johnson, Joe T. Kopecky and the late Steve and Rudy Kopecky, all of Nebraska. She had over 100 nieces and nephews. Anna was born in Appleton, Nebraska on February 7, 1918 and moved to San Francisco, CA in 1940 to marry Chet, the love of her life. She was a registered nurse, trained at Creighton University and St. Catherine's Hospital in Nebraska and worked at Children's, Franklin and St. Francis Hospitals for over 35 years. A Memorial Mass will be said on Friday, September 22, 2006, 1:00 PM, at St. Cyprian's Church, 195 Leota Avenue, Sunnyvale.
