Bio

Lenore Amy Foss, 89, Grand Rapids, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Grand Itasca Hospital. Services were held Monday, June 8, at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids with Rev. Paul Leslie officiating. Arrangements were by Rowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Grand Rapids. Lenore Homstad was born May 31, 1926, in Hazelton Township to Elias and Anna Homstad and was raised on the family farm. She graduated from Hallock High School in 1944 and attended Medical Institute of Minnesota. She worked as a lab and x-ray tech in Crookston. She married Arnold Foss December 20, 1950. She returned to school in 1974 to earn her LPN certification. She worked in the newborn nursery at Itasca Memorial Hospital from 1976 to 1987. Lenore was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway 1-563 Nordstjernen, and VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; granddaughter, Emerald Foss; and four sisters and two brothers. Full obituary in the Grand Rapids Herald Review, Grand Rapids, MN
