Bio
Paula Hayes, 58, unexpectedly left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of June 6, 2015. Paula was born in Washington D.C. to Bobby Joe and Joanne Dandridge and moved to North Texas when she was an infant. Paula married the love of her life, Billy Hayes, on August 20, 1976. Paula had more than 26 years of management experience in the telecommunications industry before leaving the corporate world in 1999 to focus on her heart's passion of sharing Christ's love with those in need. Paula then provided administrative management expertise to orphan ministries and had the joy of leading many mission trips to serve orphans around the world. Paula co-founded Orphan Outreach, a ministry dedicated to helping orphans and vulnerable children, in 2007. Paula was known for her love, laughter and dedication to the Lord and caring for others. Paula's greatest joy was serving her family; including being an incredible wife to Billy, mom to her 3 grown children and proud grandmother (P Diddy Piddy) of 9. She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Joe Dandridge and survived by her mother, Joanne Dandridge. She is also survived by her husband, Billy Hayes; her son, Justin Hayes and wife Lindsay (and their 4 children- Cai, Rory, Declan and Eilis Hayes); her daughter, Ashley Laughlin and husband Steve (and their 2 children- Trey and Drew Laughlin); and her daughter, Lindsay Badgeley and husband Brandon (and their 3 children- Ainsley, Beckham and Coleton Badgeley). Also, her sister, Karen Childers and husband Bryan; her sister, Rita Dandridge and her brother, Russell Dandridge and her nieces (Kristin Childers, Hannah Dandridge, and Olive Jo Dimmitt) and nephews (Joseph Dandridge and Riley Henderson). In lieu of flowers, to honor her life and commitment to orphans, memorial gifts may be made in Paula's name to Orphan Outreach (www.OrphanOutreach.org). Visitation will be held at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home in Mesquite Thursday, June 11 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held at Lake Highlands Baptist Church, 642 Brookhurst Dr., Dallas, TX 75218, on Friday, June 12th at 10am.
