Mrs. Will Choat passed away at her home east of Albion, Monday afternoon. She had been in ill health for several years but was able to be up and around a part of the time. She was a patient sufferer and was always considerate of the welfare of her family. Grace Elizabeth Earl, daughter of George and Martha Earl, was born near Madison, Nebr., April 28, 1884, where she spent her girlhood days and grew to womanhood. On December 1, 1901, she was married to Wm. Choat, they residing on a farm southeast of Madison until 1910 when they moved to their present home five miles southeast of Albion, where she passed away Monday, September 1, 1930, at the age of 46 years, 4 months and 3 days. Mrs. Choat was a kind loving character, devoted to her home and family, enjoying herself most when doing good and administering to others. She always had a pleasant smile and a kind cheery word of encouragement for everyone. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband, four sons, Ray, Walter, Alvin and Lyle and one daughter, Merle, an infant son, Floyd having preceded her in death. Also three grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Kolzow of Madison, Mrs. Mary Koeppe of Pierce, Mrs. Cassa Penhollow of Monroe and one brother, John E. Earl of Winner, S.D., and other relatives and a host for friends. Funeral services were held from the home Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Hull of St. Edward, assisted by Rev. L. Foreman of Albion, and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery. The esteem in which the deceased and her family were held was attested to by the large gathering of friends who attended the funeral service and followed the remains to their last resting place.
