Lincoln Journal Star (NE) - Monday, January 19, 2009 Mildred "Millie" L. Ferris, 81, Milford, died Saturday (01/17/09) in Seward. Born February 21, 1927, at rural Gregory, S.D. Graduated Ord High School; former grocery store owner; co-managed Mac's Cafe, Milford; also worked as a janitor at Farmers and Merchants Bank and Milford Medical Clinic. Member: American Legion Auxiliary # 171. Survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Jim Scott, Cove, Ark.; Marilyn and Keith Baker, Ainsworth, Maxine Vanek, Cottage Grove, Minn.; Mavis Ferris, Milford; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Tee, Bennington; Milton and Denise, Crystal, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvern, 1970; and three brothers. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday (01/20/09), Milford United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Curd. Interment: Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford. Visitation: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday, all at the funeral home; and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
