A lifetime resident of Wilson County, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, in the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, Texas at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 27 days. Mr. Polasek attended DeWees Community School and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville and was known as the "P.O. Man" at the Union Stock Yards in San Antonio, where here worked for 35 years before retiring. He was a farmer and rancher. He loved to play the harmonica, especially at Christmas time when the entire family gathered around to sing along. He also enjoyed playing the accordion. Everyone enjoyed listening to him play at parties and reunions. Preceded in death by: parents, Charlie & Katherine Hosek Polasek. Survivors include: wife, Agnes Chilek Polasek, whom he married October 29, 1939, in Floresville; sons Edward A. Polasek (Edna), James B. Polasek (Elaine), and Robert "Bobby" Daniel Polasek (Lillian) grandchildren Edward Polasek Jr. (Darla), Michael Wayne Polasek (Marion), Stephen James Polasek (companion Nina), Denise Elaine Sendemer (Scott), Dawn Dechelle Barnett (Brett), Patricia Ann Coronado (Michael), Jason Robert Polasek (Brandi), and Sara Suzanne Polasek; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Dell Kowalik and Louise Long; sisters-in-law Madelyn Polasek (Mrs. Johnny) and Mary Polasek (Mrs. Charlie). Pallbearers were: Thomas Chilek, Martin Chilek, Albert Chilek, Ray Polasek, Robert Polasek, and Louis Polasek. Serving as honorary pallbearers were August's grandchildren.
