Lionel Earl Barrilleaux, Sr., age 68, of Buffalo passed away June 1, 2015 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Keechi Cemetery, east of Buffalo in the Keechi Community. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Lionel was born July 28, 1946 in Baytown, Texas to Archie and Minnie (Istre) Barrilleaux. He moved to Buffalo from Liberty, Texas in 1978. He owned and operated Dailey’s Super Market in Buffalo and Jewett and, for a time, also had a grocery store in Oakwood. Lionel enjoyed sports, cars, guns and traveling to many destinations across America in his motor home. Surviving family members include his wife, Judy Barrilleaux of Buffalo; a son, Lionel Jr, and his wife, Rhonda Ann of Martins Mill, Texas; a daughter, Rhonda Kay Johnson of Jewett; brothers, Archie Barrilleaux and wife, Jane, of Cleveland, Texas, Louis Barrilleaux and wife, Linda, of Weimer, Texas and Melvin Barrilleaux and wife, Donna of Buffalo and two grandchildren, Tristan Barrilleaux and Stacy Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Buffalo; the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
