Hannah Wood Maxwell was the first born child of John Wood & Aevas Baird Wood. She married James Maxwell on November 11, 1810 in Madison Co. Alabama, Mississippi Territory. They moved to Washington Co., Arkansas where her parents had settled. Hannah and her husband James moved to Texas and arrived in Collin Co. Jan 1 1846. They had the following children: Henry Maxwell-married Mary "Polly" Strain Elizabeth Maxwell who married James Strain James Maxwell-Married Mary Williford Lydia Nobel Maxwell who married Comfort McMillen Hannah Maxwell who married Lewis M Marshall Abigail Maxwell who married Robert Addison Strain Andrew Maxwell-Married Narcissa Avis Maxwell who married Wm. R McCrary This is a note from Mary Maxwell: There was also a son, John, born 4/15/1819 in AR and died 1822 in AR; birth/death recorded in Family Bible.
