Herald Coaster, March 7, 1980: Funeral services for Bertha W. McClelland, 70, of Rosenberg, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. McClelland died Thursday in Leisure Lodge Nursing Home where she had been a resident for three years. A native of Mississippi, she had been a longtime resident of Rosenberg and had worked as a waitress at The Texas Grill for 15 years. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ellen Davis of Rosenberg, Pauline McCracken of Palestine, and Rachel Leediker of Crockett; five sons, James H. McClelland of Dallas, Johnny McClelland of Garland, Paul Nance of California, Abe Nance of Nevada, and Howard Nance of Porter; a sister, Ellie Thrash of Mississippi; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Davis Chapel after 3 p.m. Sunday.
