The Daily Northwestern Oshkosh, Wisconsin Mon., Oct. 27, 1930 Front Page FAMILY FOUR ARE VICTIMS AT CROSSING (Note: Excerpt of story from multiple story article) Milwaukee—(AP)—Four members of one family were dead today and a 9-year-old neighbor girl was critically injured as the result of a North-Shore automobile crash at a grade crossing south of here. The dead: Abraham Jutras, 40; his wife, 36, and their two daughters, Leonora, 14, and Rita, 8. Louise Selanger, invited by the Jutras family to go for a ride, suffered a fractured skull and other injuries. FAILS TO HEAR Witnesses said a Motorman John Hummer, operating the southbound electric train, sounded the whistle several times as the automobile approached the crossing but apparently Jutras, the driver, failed to hear the warning. The Jutras family came here from Iron Mountain, Mich., three years ago. Jutras operated a meat market there.
