Bio
Ethel Margie Hughes Ashton,73, born March 1, 1939, passed away peacefully on the night of October 14, 2012. She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Hughes; mother, Jewell Albright Ruff; sisters, Pat Wright, Iona Kovar, and half sister, Joyce Keller. She is also preceded by two half brothers, Dearl Jean Hughes and Dan Hughes; as well as by her beloved husband, Thomas Junior Ashton. She is survived by her children, James Ashton and wife Debbie and children Tracy, Rusty, Christopher; Eva Clelland and husband Charles and children Geanette and Jennifer; Patti French and husband Jerry and children Michelle, David, and Robert; Jewell Ashton and children Jasmine and Mekah; Iona Dorsey and husband Bart and a sister, Ruthie Graham. She also leaves behind thirteen great grandchildren as well as countless friends and extended family. Ethel Margie was a vibrant person who loved everyone ; she will be greatly missed. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Southridge Village for taking such good care of her during her final years. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 20th at 11:00 a.m. in Sheridan with Brother Carroll Sites officiating. A supplemental service at Southridge Villiage in Conway will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 10:00 a.m. for her friends there.
