Bio

Charles Bohomil Hurta, 46, of Alvin, TX died on Tuesday, August 18, 1964 due to a heart attack. He was born on November 9, 1917 in the Deutschburg Community, Jackson County, Texas to the late Joseph Frank Hurta and the late Kathryn Muscial Hurta. Requiem Mass for Charles Bohomil Hurta was held Thursday, August 20 at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Harrold officiating. Interment was in the Palacios Cemetery, Texas. Rosary was recited Wednesday, August 19, at 8 p.m. at the Palacios Funeral Home. He enlisted in the 69th Coast Artillery in 1939 and after three years he transferred to the Air Corps and served in the European theatre during World War II. Published in the Palacios Beacon, on August 1964.
