Bio
Terry William Stone, 58, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2015, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Ward Street Church of Christ, Marlin, Texas. Interment will immediately follow in Criswell Cemetery, Marlin, Texas. Terry was born in Falls County, Texas, to the late W.N. "Doodlebug" Stone and Mina (Ray) Stone. He graduated from Sam Houston University with a BBA in Finance and was employed in the insurance industry for over 35 years, helping to develop and manage a Workers Compensation Claims Company. Many of his best friendships were developed through these associations. Terry loved to fish, either bank fishing one of the cattle tanks around Falls County, off the dock on Lake LBJ or in the Gulf. Dove hunting was a favorite although he also enjoyed deer hunting trips with his family and friends. Special thanks to the family, friends and colleagues who participated in his many barbeques and fish frys. Terry’s kindness and friendship was a catalyst for a wide group of family and friends to enjoy life. He will be greatly missed. Terry was preceded in death by his brothers, Conrad Stone and wife, Bobbie, and Aubrey Stone and wife, Janet Stone. Survivors include his wife, Nannette, of Georgetown; sons, Thomas Stone and Samuel Stone, both of Austin, and Koy Stone, of Georgetown; siblings, JoAnn Milnes Cohn, of Marlin, Winfred Stone, of Waco, Nelda Brown and husband, Gene, of Marlin, and Keith Stone and wife, Marsha, of Georgetown; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
