ELSIE GILBERT Funeral Service for Elsie Gilbert, age 86, of Leonard will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Leonard. Rev. Chris Cowen will officiate. Burial will be in Leonard Cemetery. She was born Oct. 27, 1911 in McKinney, daughter of Martin Lenderman and Della Kindle Lenderman. She was a member of the First Christian Church in McKinney and was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons: Bobby Gilbert, Billy Gilbert and Joe Gilbert all of Leonard; one sister: Nannie Margret Ramsey of Wylie; one brother Martin L. Lenderman of White House; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
