Bio

Raymond (RD) Zapalac was born to Joe and Frances Knebel Zapalac - there were 7 sons and 4 daughters in the family. RD had had two brothers - Steve and John and four sisters - Mollie, Tina, Martha and Judy ( died at age 2 of Diptheria). RD and his wife Ana Kana Zapalac met a a Dubina, Texas dance on the 4th of July 1925 and began to seriously date on July 26, 1926. They married on October 26, 1927 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Blessing, Texas. They lived in El Campo, Tx for 16 years and then spent then after several moves settled in Flatonia, Tx on June 1, 1952. Children of RD and Ana include Edwin, Jeanette and Mary Ann.
