Herald Coaster, November 20, 1992: Funeral services for George Revia, 82, of Lake Jackson will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. The Rev. Milton D. Wilson will officiate, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Mr. Revia died Wednesday in Lake Jackson. He was born Feb. 23, 1910 in Beaumont. He retired from Exxon USA's production department in 1974. He had been serving as a maintenance specialist for the King Ranch Gas Plant District. Mr. Revia had attained 38 years of service with the district. A native Texan, he first joined the company at Government Wells on a drilling crew. Most of his company career was spent in field operation on drilling and core rigs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Revia. Survivors include his daughter, Loretta Massey of Lake Jackson; three sisters, Addie Newman of Port Arthur, Lee Nelson of Smith Point, and Mary Cartlidge of High Island; two brothers, Fred Revia of Winnie and Claude Revia of High Island; three grandchildren, Kenneth R. Massey of Boston, Mass., Michael R. Massey of Fort Benning, Ga., and Eric R. Massey of Westminster, Ca.; and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
