Bio
Doris J. Adams, 84, of Franklin, passed away April 5, 2015 in Franklin. Born October 29, 1930 in Stinesville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille (Smith) Board. Doris was a graduate of Union School in Johnson County with the class of 1949. She worked as an Activities Director at Westminster Village for many years, retiring from the Indiana Masonic Home. She also helped her son Marc, at Marc Adams School of Woodworking. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa and a member of Community Congregational Church in Franklin. She married John T. Adams on December 22, 1950 in Brownstown, Indiana and he preceded her in death in 1982. She is survived by two sons, Joe (Susan) Adams and Marc (Susie) Adams; grandchildren, Bonnie Adams, Ean Adams, Markee Adams Murrin, and John Adams; great-grandchildren, Delilia Adams, Aurora Adams, and Iris Adams. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Board. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. April 10, 2015 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South Sstate Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. April 9, 2015 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Memorial contributions can be made to Johnson County Community Foundation, c/o The Roger Cliffe Memorial Foundation, and / or The Alzheimer''s Association.
