Bio

Pittsville — Mrs. W. S. McDonald, 78, Route 1, Pittsville, died at her home here at 6:55 Tuesday evening. Death was attributed to a stroke. She had been ill for the past week. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Congregational church in Pittsville, with burial in Mound cemetery. The Rev. Roy Cuiliss will officiate. The body will be at the Hanson Funeral home in Marshfield beginning Thursday noon. Mrs. McDonald, whose maiden name was Elnora McDaniel, was born at Big Run, Ohio, May 19, 1870. She received her education there and at Cashton, Wis., where her family moved when she was 11. She lived at Cashton until her marriage in 1889, when she and her husband moved to Dell, Wis. They came to Wood county in 1916 and lived here since that time. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband and six children, Denver McDonald, La Farge, Wis.: Mrs. Emmet Knapp, Mrs. Vernon Sparks, John, Berlie and Ottle, all of Pittsville; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Dewitt, Independence, Ore.; Mrs. John Spockes and Mrs. Jessie McElliose, both of La Farge; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
