Bio

Longtime Dallas-area resident and businessman William T. Garrett went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2015. Born May 11, 1925 in Dallas, TX to Ella Mae Miles Garrett and Wilburn T. Garrett. He was an All-State football player and Senior Class President at Crozier Tech High School in 1944. After graduating he joined the Army. He married Betty Kretschmer (3 kids), later divorcing. Then married D. Jean Willis, and had 2 kids. He worked his way up in Industrial Plastics in 1953, becoming the President and General Manager. Which lead to the creation of his own successful company, Allied Plastic Supply which he retired from in 1999. Known for his rough exterior and charming personality he saw potential in everyone to achieve their goals. He is survived by his wife, Jean, sons: William T (Judy), Glenn (Katie), Ray (Anne), William Jackson, daughter, Jacklyn (Aaron), stepson, Richard (Melissa). He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sat. April 4th at 12:45pm leading into the Chapel Service at 2 pm finalizing at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
