Mattie Barrington November 13, 1923 - March 29, 2015 Mattie Barrington, longtime resident of Throckmorton, Texas passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Residence in Throckmorton, Texas at the age of 91. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, Texas with Rev. Peter Parker officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Throckmorton Cemetery in Throckmorton under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Tuesday evening, March 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 107 Austin. Mattie was born November 13, 1923, in Haskell County, Texas to Eli and Evaline Breeden. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Throckmorton. She is preceded in death by her parents,Eli and Evaline Breeden; husbands; three brothers, John Wesley, Olen and Sam Douglas; four sister’s, Addie Leona Breeden, Mildred, Mae and Ida; and one daughter, Barbara McCormick. Mattie is survived by her brother, Ira Walton Breeden; two son’s, Kenneth Raymon and Jerry Don Barrington; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
