Thomas "Tommie" James Martin Born: October 06, 1938 Died: March 28, 2015 SERVICES – 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in the Memphis Church of Christ with Tom Anderson, officiating. INTERMENT – Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview. ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Tommie was born October 6, 1938 in Hall County to Thomas Howard and Artie B. Martin. He married Jerri Cheryl Stephens on February 24, 1963 in Quail. He had been a lifetime resident of Lakeview where he farmed and he served as Hall County Commissioner for 8 years. He worked for Baker & Taylor Oil Drilling Company as a heavy equipment operator and in road construction prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Memphis Church of Christ. Tommie’s grandchildren was the light of his life. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; and a sister, Ella B. Blum. SURVIVORS – his wife of 52 years, Jerri Martin of the home; 2 daughters, Angela Willson and husband Bobby of Lone Oak and Debra Grabbe and husband Sloan of Silverton; a brother, Raymond H. Martin of Memphis; and 5 grandchildren, CoDee, Brittney, and MaKlay Grabbe, Bakker and Keegan Willson. MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to Lakeview Cemetery Association. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memphis Church of Christ with Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Mr. Martin was born Oct. 6, 1938, in Hall County to Thomas Howard and Artie B. Martin. He married Jerri Cheryl Stephens on Feb. 24, 1963, in Quail. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Angela Willson of Lone Oak and Debra Grabbe of Silverton; a brother, Raymond H.
