Bio

Alta "Altie" Reed was born in Oklahoma ca 1909 to Charles W. and Callie Cathern Lockaby Reed. There were three living siblings living in the home and three siblings that died as infants. Alta's sisters were Alice Faye and Allie Mae Reed. Alta Reed married Earl Williams and there was one son born of their union; Calvin M. Williams. It is not known if Earl Williams died or if they divorced, but Alta married her second husband Charles Hugh Kilgore. Alta "Altie" Reed Williams died on 22 May 1949 in the Evergreen Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. She was in the hospital from January 1949 until her death of tuberculosis. She is buried in the Sunnylane Cemetery, in Grave NE 12-9-8 Block 9/Section 8. There is no tombstone.
