Second Lieutenant, 431st Bomb Squadron, 11th Bomb Group, World War II. Killed in service when B-24L Liberator #44-41497 crashed on takeoff from the airfield at Guam. Ten other airmen were also killed: 2nd Lt. Arthur Leitz , pilot 2nd Lt. George P Seroogy, Jr 2nd Lt. Earl A Swanson Sgt. Kesler W Harbin Cpl. Ralph C Curry Cpl. Martin J Kenefake, Jr Cpl.
