Bio

Anna Louisa F. Jurik, 98, passed away on March 18, 2015, in Ennis, Texas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of the Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015, in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Anna Louisa was born in Lovelady, Texas, to the late Peter Paul and Anna Mildred (Juroska) Fridel. She grew up in Lovelady and attended school in Telico, Texas. On November 28, 1934, Louise married Emil William Jurik and they made their home in Ennis. Louise worked in the St. John Catholic School cafeteria for many years bestowing her talent with food to the children she served. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT #16. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil, on April 4, 1997; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include her daughters: Ann Marek and husband, John, Sr., Unett Svrcek and husband, Cy, and Karon Beebe; six grandchildren: 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends.
