Herald Coaster, September 6, 1982: Funeral services for Minnie Barak Oliver, 82, of Houston, formerly of Rosenberg, were to have been held at 11 a.m. today at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg, with Rev. Richard Avery officiating. Burial was to have been in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery in Rosenberg. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Dvorak, Mrs. Bessie Vaughn, and Mrs. Helen Lang, all of Houston; two sons, James Poncik of Sugar Land and Jerry Poncik of Rosenberg; one stepson, Phillip Oliver Jr. of La.; and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty L. Oliver of La.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
