Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent April 1983 William R. "Bill" Rork Sr., 54, of Ft. Morgan, Colo., formerly of Grand Island, died Saturday at his home. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island. The Rev. Robert Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mr. Rork was born May 7, 1928, at Beggs, Okla., the son of Raymond and Cecelia Franssen Rork. They lived in Arkansas until he was 7, when they moved to St. Libory. He grew up and received his education at St. Libory. After completing his education he entered the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he moved to Fremont where he lived until 1965. He married Mary Ann Giesenhagen on July 28, 1964, at Fremont. In 1965 they moved to Ft. Morgan, Colo. He had lived there since. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Ann of Grand Island and a son, William R. Jr. of Fort Morgan, Colo. and their mother of Grand Island; a sister, Lucille Haisch of Fort Morgan, Colo., a brother, Darrell of Grand Island and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
