Bio
She was born in Pacolet Mills, SC, to the Willie Victor and Willie Mae Moreland Smith. Margie worked for most of her life in the textile industry. She was also a foster grandparent through the United Way. In church Margie taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, as well as many solos. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She is survived by her children; Carlos Stalcup and wife Becky of Gastonia, Rev. Oscar Stalcup and wife Linda of Bessemer City, Yvonne Tucker and husband Jeff of Cartersville, GA, Ronald Stalcup and wife Chris of Charlotte, Tommy Pursley and wife Lisa of Stoney Creek, NC., Teresa Haynes of Brevard, Norma Weaver and husband Chuck of Kings Mountain, Timothy Stalcup and wife Cathy of Brevard; sister, Shirley Williams of Walhalla, SC. She also had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Oscar J. "Dickie" Stalcup, her second husband of 52 years, Howard Luther Pursley; son, Blaine Stalcup; twin sister Margaret; brothers; Vernon, Raymond, Jack, Lewis, Leonard and Leroy. Funeral:Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City,with Rev. Oscar Stalcup, Rev. Rodger Wentz. Interment:Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain with Dr. Robert Eng. officiating.
