Herald Coaster, April 28, 1983: Funeral services for Frank Joe Kalisek, 84, of Rosenberg, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with Father Ladd Danek presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Kalisek died Wednesday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was born March 15, 1899 in Weid. He was a retired farmer. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. Friends may call by the funeral home anytime Thursday. Survivors include his wife, Anna Kalisek of Rosenberg; six daughters, Mary Cernoch of Houston, Emily Krischke of Houston, Anita Shimek of Pasadena, Mildred Barcak of Rosenberg, Josephine Nowak of Port Lavaca, and Helen Kalisek of Houston; four sons, Frank Kalisek and John Kalisek, both of Rosenberg, and Eugene Kalisek and Daniel Kalisek, both of Houston; two sisters, Annie Berger of Shiner and Lillie Juranek of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Adolph Kalisek of Baytown, Anton Kalisek of Port Lavaca, and Joe Kalisek of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
