Bio
Ovie L. Sisk, age 70 of Estill Springs, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February, 22, 2015 at his residence. He was always well known for his love of sports, from playing and coaching when he was younger, to umpiring and playing golf in his later years. Nothing much rose above his love of Tennessee Vols Football and Franklin County sports. Ovie was preceded in death by his parents, John Wiley Sisk and Effie Branch Sisk; wife, Barbara Nash Sisk; and son, Jay Lee Sisk. He is survived by sons, Freddie Syler of Decherd and Dustin (Lori) Nash of Tullahoma; daughter, Cindy Woodlee of Shelbyville; brother, Wiley (Sue) Sisk of Estill Springs; sister, Nancy (Starrel) Ashley of Estill Springs; and five grandchildren, Dalton Syler, Alexander Nash, Lee Jay Nash, A.J. Ladd, and Christopher Perry. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2015 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
