Bio

Richard L. "Rick" Carnes passed away peacefully at a Wise County hospital on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015. Service: He will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in Emerald Hills Cemetery in Kennedale. He was born to Edward and Lawanda Carnes on April 21, 1950, in Hamlin and resided with his wife of 25 years, Arlene Carnes, in Springtown. He worked for Southwestern Bell and retired after 27 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lawanda Carnes; sisters, Glenda Klapper and Linda Carnes; and granddaughter, Laylah Reese Smith. Survivors: His wife, Arlene Carnes of Springtown; his sons, Kevin Carnes of Springtown and Johnny Clay Carnes; stepdaughters, Brooke Rocha Tilley of Las Vegas, Stacie Rocha of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Austin, Cheyenne, Chloe, Isaiah and Noah.
