SPRINGTOWN - Edward L. "Bill" Carnes, 69, a retired convenience store clerk, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at his home. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home. Edward L. "Bill" Carnes was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Hamlin. Survivors: Wife, Lawanda Carnes; son and daughter-in-law, Richard Louis and Arlene Carnes; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Sue Carnes and Glenda Lou and Loyd Klapper; brothers, Silas Ernest Carnes and Robert L. Carnes; sisters, Earline Dorman and Faye; grandchildren, Johnny Clay Carnes and Kevin Duane Carnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
