EL CAMPO - Frances Svatek Adamik, 81, of El Campo, died Sept. 24, 2010. She was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Shiner, to the late Frank and Rosie Mikes Svatek. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America #1374, KJZT Society, and St. John Altar Society. She is survived by her daughters, son, sister, Lillie Wittig of Boling; brothers, August Svatek of Bay City, Frank Svatek of Needville, Eddie Svatek of Livingston, Jerry Svatek of Boling, Dennis Svatek of Boling and Leonard Svatek of Humble; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Adamik; and sister, Rosalie Yawn. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Triska Funeral Home with a parish wake service and CDA rosary being offered at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at St. John Catholic Church in Taiton with the Rev. Gabriel Oduro Tawiah officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons, Jason Garcia, Tim Garcia, Elvis Garcia, Jeff Zernicek, Dale Zernicek and Robert Henke. Honorary bearers are her great-grandchildren.
