Herald Coaster, November 7, 2002: Graveside services for Hilton E. (Pete) Mesecke, 85, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Dr. Charles Teykl will officiate the services. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., FM 2218 at Highway 59 in Rosenberg. Hilton was born Sept. 10, 1917 in Needville to Konrad Mesecke and Clara Engelhardt Mesecke, and he passed away Nov. 5, 2002 in Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Konrad and Clara Mesecke, and a brother, Norwin Mesecke. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Wilma Preuss Mesecke of Richmond; his son, Charles Mesecke of Pleak; his grandson, Allan Mesecke and his wife, Shelly, of Crosby; his great-grandchildren, Michael, Clay, Ashley and Taylor Mesecke of Crosby; step great-grandson, Kyle Bunch of Baytown, his sister, Mae Elda Paukert of Richmond and other relatives and many friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, (281) 341-8800.
