Bio

Barbara Catherine Kovar, 78, of Garland, died Thursday, March 1. She was born near Dwight on November 13, 1900, and was a member of St. Wencelaus Catholic Church, Bee, and of the church's Altar Society. Survivor's include one son, Joseph of Garland, one daughter, Helen of Lincoln, eight sisters, Jennie Parzak of Lincoln, Mary Hain of Ulysses, Frances Kohout and Lillian Patak, both of Seward, Bessie Kovar of Garland, Josephine Kraus of Beaver Crossing, Blanche Strizek of Valparaiso and Helen Kohout of Dwight. Services were held Monday, March 5, at St Wencelaus Catholic Church, Bee, the Rev. Gerald Vap officiating. Burial was in the Seward Cemetery. Pallbearers were Victor Kovar, Cyrill Kovar, Gerard Kovar, Larry Kovar, Daniel Kovar and Ernest Kovar. Seward County Independent, Seward, NE, Wed, March 7, 1979
