Ruby was the daughter of Henry B Carter and Sallie Jane Brandon Carter of Burneyville, OK. She had the following siblings, Willie Jim, Onie J, Effie, Jack,Beulah, Bertie, and Bessie"Fan".She married Ware Clayton High on Sept. 11, 1927. Children were Sylvia and Ware C.
