Sallie Jane was the daughter of Charles Marion Brandon and Nancy Jane Pittman of Murray, Calloway co. KY. Sallie Jane Brandon married Henry B Carter on Feb 4 1880 in Red River county TX. Sallie and her husband Henry B Carter came to the Indian Territory in the late 1890's. At that time they lived in an area known as TOWNSHIP 7 SOUTH, RANGE 1 EAST,CHICKASAW NATION INDIAN TERRITORY. This area later became known as part of Burneyville,Love county,Oklahoma. Parents of, Etta(Roche) - Will J. - Onie J. - Effie(Fitts) -Jessie A "Jack" - Beulah(Gordon) - Bertie(unmarried) - Bessie"Fan"(Windes) - Ruby(High) Sallie Brandon Carter is my great-grandmother, Phil R.
