Roma Ota Dallas was born to Mona Ota and James Walter Dallas II in Yoakum, TX. She was one of two daughters, Mary Lou Dallas the other. James was the son of Reuben Thomas & Lou Cate (Harmon) Dallas. Reuben was my g.grandfather, his son Harry H. Dallas my grandfather. Roma Ota Dallas married George Corzilius Hall on 10 Oct 1941 in Oklahoma. He died on 18 Oct 1944 of something heart related Fort Smith, Sebastian, Arkansas, per Kathleen O'Brien email 10.11.25. A newspaper item Friday, Nov. 6, 1940, in the Waurika, OK News Democrat, cites "Miss Roma Dallas spend Monday and Tuesday with her mother, Mrs. Mona Dallas, and grandmother, Mrs. Tally Wilson." Another, May 15, 1940, same newspaper said "Miss Roma Dallas is spending a few days with her mother." Daily Oklahoman, OKC, OK, cites marriages including George Crizilius Hall, 35, and and Roma Ota Dallas, 25. married Oct. 11, 1941, page 13. FaG for George shows he died in 1944, 3 years after marriage with Roma. Roma married Carl Hayes after Hall died. An online article cites Carl's death: Abilene Reporter-News (Abilene, Texas) · Sun, Oct 20, 1963 · Page 8 Carl Hayes, 62, was found shot to death early Saturday in the parking lot behind his apartment in Dallas. A shotgun was found by the body. Officers said he has been despondent over business. He was a home improvement salesman.
