Columbian, The (Vancouver, WA) September 1, 1996 Ruth B. Pouder Fairbanks, Alaska Ruth Bonnie Pouder, 77, a member of the Presbyterian church, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 1996, at home in Fairbanks. Mrs. Pouder, a 20-year Woodland resident before moving to Fairbanks four years ago, was born May 10, 1919, in Bonita Springs, S.D. An avid gardener, she also enjoyed crocheting and especially loved to dance. She had worked as a counter manager in a restaurant. Her husband, Frank "Red," died in 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon R. Gudde of Fairbanks; a brother, Dale Doyle of Gresham, Ore.; two sisters, Mary of Las Vegas, Nev., and Velma Tolrude of Friday Harbor; three grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association.
