John Taylor Powell and Mary Polly Glase Married May 4 1826 Darke, Ohio Children with Mary Polly Glase: Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Christina, Naomi, William John Taylor and Mary Farlow Married June 29 1840 Boone County, Indiana Children with Mary Farlow: Thomas, Uriah Quite a number of burials in the city cemetery that were not documented well when it was first started as it was privately held, and the original burial book was in a shen that was taken away in a small tornado in the early 1880s. Notice of Death found in the Grand Island Times Thursday 1 December 1881. Naomi (44) & Aaron (33) Kessel and Family was living at the time in 1880 June 4th & 5th (recorded census) in Chetopa Township, Wilson County, Kansas John was 84 Aron T. Kessel 33 Naomi Kessel 44 Lily Kessel 12 Minnie Kessel 9 John R. Kessel 7 John T. Powell 84 John Taylor sons, William, Thomas, Uriah fought in the civil war The cemetery has no record of this burial. The only documentation for this burial is the newspaper article in the newspaper. The cemetery will be notified that this documentation of burial has been found. Over the last several years, many dedicated volunteers have walked and documented every marker in the section (the old half of the cemetery) where this burial would have been.
