Horace Delbert Herron, age 87, of Quitman, Texas, passed away March 11, 2014, in Hurst, Texas. Horace was born December 25, 1926, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Horace C. and Pearl (McKeown) Herron. He married Myrtle Elizabeth “Libby” Forbis on March 2, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. Horace is survived by his three sons, Don Herron and his wife, Debbie of Blenheim, New Zealand, Keith Herron and his wife, Wanda of Leawood, Kansas, Kevin Herron of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Herron, Jennifer Skinner, Jordan Herron, Benjamin Herron, Alexandra Herron; great-grandchildren, Noah Bahm, Nicolas Bahm, Virginia Bahm, Nathan Skinner, Vivian Skinner; sister, Jane Husselton of Kissimmee, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Libby Herron, sister, Dorothy Gard, brother, Joe Herron and his parents. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Celina. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Quitman Public Library.
