In Memory of Mr. Robert Virgil “Bob” Hall Jr., age 90, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon January 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born August 4, 1924 in New Boston, Texas, a son of the late Robert V. and Golden Adell Rackley Hall, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brooklyn Nicole Hobbs, sister and brother-in-law, Verbenia and Lloyd Eubanks, and brothers, Billy Hall and Olan Hall. Bob was the former owner of Bob Hall’s Insurance Agency in Dalton, Georgia. He was a member and deacon of The Church of God of The Union Assembly. He was an F & AM Mason, a member of Pleasant Grove Lodge #702 and Tunnel Hill Lodge #202, a Shriner and a member of the Dalton Shrine Club. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Genearl Gazaway Hall of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Sonja Hall, Lane and Maranda Hall all of Dalton, GA, Roger and Brenda Hall of Geneva, OH; daughters, Lisa Barnett, Rita Puckett both of Dalton, GA, Robbie Ann Brown of Luling, LA, Joyce Hall of Portland, ME; sister, Helen Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Mary Hall, Wayne and Thelma Hall, Jimmy Lynn Hall all of Dalton, GA, and Ann Hall of New Boston, TX; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert V. “Bob” Hall, Jr., will be held at the Church of God of The Union Assembly with Reverend Charlie Pratt and Reverend Lonnie Starnes officiating. He will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery with the deacons of the church serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Published by Ponders Funeral Home Dalton, GA.
