Bio

Mrs. Starr was born to Jessie Edgar and Lilly Gertrude Southerland Gibson. She was a licensed vocational nurse. She graduated from W.C. Tenery Hospital School of Nursing in Waxahachie in 1960. She retired from W.C. Tenery Hospital after 22 years and moved back to Longview. She was married to Millard Starr on May 21, 1932, in Little Flock Baptist Church by Bro. Russell Taylor. Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Millard after 54 years; son, Millard Cleveland Starr; and brothers, Ernest, Clarence, Dick, Clisto; Earl; Clyde; Jessie Edgar, Jr. (Jabo); and sister, Wilma Ruth Deaver.
