Thelma Parker, 97, of Sulphur Springs passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Thelma was born in Gainesville, Texas on May 30, 1917, to Dovie May Mitchell Morgan and Dalton Allen Morgan, on June 17, 1940 she married the love of her life Robert (Bill) Parker, who preceded her in death, she was a retired dietician at Hopkins County Hospital. Survivors include her sisters; Irene Hall Belcher and her husband Jr., of Sulphur Springs and Lavern Tidwell, of Dallas, and her brother, Dorman Morgan and his wife Sandra, of Como, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her son, Billy Wayne Parker and her brother, James Morgan. Funeral Services for Thelma will be conducted on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home, with Bro. Roy Le Dittmar officiating. Visitation will be conducted one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dalton Hall, David Hall, Wayne Bledsoe, David Robinson, Shawn Hall and Brad Rollins. Honorary pallbearer will be Spencer Hinkle. Arrangements are with Jones-Walker Funeral Home.
