Funeral services for Rosa Huepers, 85, of 1509 24th St., will be held at 4 p.m. today at the J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home, Msgr. C. J. Alleman officiating. Burial will be in Old Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Huepers died Wednesday night at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born Feb. 19,1893, in Holman, Texas. A housewife, she was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, F.O.E. Aiere No. 48 Auxiliary and K.J.Z.T. Survivors include a daughter, Clara Kelly of Galveston; a son, William J. Huepers of Galveston; two brothers, Frank Zapalac of La Marque, and Joe Zapalac of Flatonia, Texas; a sister, Anna Franks of Hot Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and eight great - great - grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today. Pallbearers will be Terry Worrell, David Worrell, Billy Fritz and Larry Lee Fritz. Galveston Daily News, Friday, July 21, 1978 Rosie was my husband's fraternal aunt. Married to August James Huepers and had one son, William Joseph Huepers, and one daughter, Clara Marie Huepers Kelly.
