Bio

Agnes Zapalac lived in the Victoria community for 46 years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 4146. Agnes was married to Viktor (Victor) Zapalac. Her parents were B.J. and Agnes Zurovetz. My husband, Ray Lee Zapalac, was named after Agnes and Vic's son, Ray E. Zapalac. Their son Ray served in WWII as a tail-gunner on a B-24 Liberator and was awarded the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement in the Orient. Their daughter is Virginia Zapalac Koehl.
