Bio

Ethel Budai Hayes Rash, 84, of Corsicana, formerly of Richland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Navarro Regional Hospital, in the presence of her family. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, in Richland Cemetery in Richland, with Pastor Eddie Jones and Pastor David Franklin officiating. Ethel was born in Angus, Texas, to the late Dan and Annie Budai, the ninth of nine children. On March 19, 1946 she married Auty Lee Hayes. Ethel worked at Texas Miller Hat Company (The Hat Factory) for 30 plus years. She loved cooking, being outside, friends, and her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Auty, on May 2, 1967; brothers: Dan Budai, and Emory Budai; sisters: Vera Budai Murphy, Christina Budai Lane, Justina Budai Cox, Lucille Budai Brown, and Rosa Budai Offutt. Survivors include her daughter, Ginger Linville and husband, Larry; son, Auty Lee Hayes "Sonny" and wife, Marsha; grandchildren: Eddie Jones and wife, Marsha, Kathy Honza and husband, Mark, and Danny Hayes and wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren: Adam and Lauretta Jones, Krystal and Derrick Mobley, Callie Jones, Danny Jones, Hunter Hayes, and Keller Hayes; great-great-grandchildren: Karlie Ross, Tylor Ross, Brayden Ross, Bryland Ross, Khrislyn Mobley, Lyndsie Jones, Jasmyne Jones, Nathan Lee Jones, and Jordyn Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Ruth Budai Boone; sister-in-law, Norma Lee Budai; and brother-in-law, James Hayes and wife, Sylvia; and many friends.
