KEARNEY — Linda K. Schall, 56, of Kearney died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church with the Revs. Joe Hannappel and Art Faesser officiating. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements. Linda was born on Aug. 24, 1958, in Loup City to Clarence J. and Dorothy (Kaslon) Oseka. She was raised on a farm near Litchfield. She graduated from Loup City High School with the class of 1976. She later attended the Lincoln School of Commerce and graduated in 1978. She married John Schall on June 16, 1979, in Loup City and moved to Kearney shortly after. Linda worked at the Buffalo County Farm Service Agency from 1977 until her retirement in 2007 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and close friends; reading; camping; and walking. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Kearney, The Loup City Auxiliary and the Nebraska Association of County Office Employees. Surviving relatives include her husband, John Schall of Kearney; son, Rod Schall and girlfriend Wendy Trumbull of Kearney; daughter, Jodi Schall and fiancé Craig Slack of Kearney; brothers, Dave Oseka and his wife, Gisele, of Lincoln, Mark Oseka and his wife, Toni, of Loup City and Randy Oseka and his wife, Marla, of Kearney; sister, Karen Bjerke and her husband, Scott, of Grand Island; and granddaughter, Noelle and grandsons, Zane and Tate, all of Kearney. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
