Bio

Leroy “Duck” Sennett, 81, of McAlester, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at his home. Born March 23, 1933, in McAlester, he was the son of Lewis and Martha (Barnard) Sennett. He grew up here and had lived here all his life. He married Darlene Moseley on Dec. 24, 1962, in McAlester, and she preceded him in death. He was an auto mechanic and had worked at service garages, mainly at Ward’s Service Station for more than 25 years. He loved to play pool as often as possible, and was a big Oklahoma University football fan, rarely missing a televised game. He enjoyed playing guitars with his grandchildren and spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially at dinners. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with the Rev. Jaime Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be at Tannehill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
