Bio
Troy Leon Taylor was born in Mabank, Texas on October 12, 1940 to Robert and Ethel Mayfield Taylor. Troy passed away in a Kaufman, Texas nursing home on November 23, 2014. Robert was raised in Kemp and the surrounding area. Later he joined the U.S. Army. Troy was a mechanic for ten years and then started driving a truck. He started his own trucking business in 1984 in Kaufman and then retired in 2002. On August 29, 1983 Troy married Barbara Jo Bridges and she preceded him in death on March 26, 2009. Troy was also preceded in death by a son Dwaine Thomas Young. He is survived by his sons: Michael Taylor of Kaufman and Donald Taylor and his wife Susan of Canton, daughters: Nancy Barton and her husband Douglas of Garland and Linda Padgett and her husband Ronald of Chandler, sisters: Myrtle Marie Wade of Kaufman and Prudie Evans of Mesquite, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Memorial services are being planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home of Kaufman. OBITUARY KAUFMAN HERALD KAUFMAN, TX
