THE ABILENE REPORTER NEWS FRIDAY, JULY 17, 1970 ROTAN ~~ Funeral for Mrs. Cull Palmer, 76, longtime Fisher County resident will be at 10 a.m Saturday at Rotan Church of Christ with burial at Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan under direction of Weathersbee Funeral Home. Mrs. Palmer died Thursday at Crest View Lodge in Rotan after an illness of several months. Born June 3, 1894 in Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reent Gruben. The family moved to Oklahoma from Kansas and then to Fisher County in 1908. She married Cull Palmer in Royston December 17, 1916 and they had lived on their farm northeast of Rotan since then. She was a member of the Rotan Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Robert McKinney and Mrs. Wayne Hullet, both of Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. J. D. Lee of Tulia; three brothers, Willie Gruben , Danie Gruben and J. H. Gruben all of Rotan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother. Contributor: Beth - [email protected]
